Web Developer full-time

Growth Media North America Inc, is a rapidly growing Marketing, Design and Print company seeking a highly skilled web developer for full time employment in our Coquitlam office. In this position your main focus will be creating and building custom websites for clients using a consultative and marketing approach.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating with Account Managers to generate site vision and requirements
• Planning and executing the page's design.
• Developing site navigation.

Expectations for Development

• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
• Create site layout/user interface.
• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
• Cooperate with graphic designers to match visual design intent.
• Write versionable code.

Expectations for Design

• Experience in web design and front-end development
• Understand the vision, components and needs of a new website.
• Working knowledge of SEO, Social Media, E-Commerce integration.
• Familiarity with best practices for creating style guides.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 year experience web programming in PHP.
• Minimum 3 year experience using MySQL / relational databases.
• Experience working with Javascript, jQuery and AJAX technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of HTML5 and CSS.
• Experience with Wordpress and Magento Required
• Experience with web design and graphic design.
• Objective C / Swift / iOS or Android app programming is a plus but not required.
• Unix knowledge is a plus but not required.
• Works well in collective settings and individually under minimal supervision.
