What you’ll do

The VP of Marketing position is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of Sortable’s marketing and communications strategy, including B2B partnership development, trade marketing and PR, content marketing and distribution, experiential (conferences and sponsorship), brand building and expansion, and product marketing support.

Reporting to the CRO, this position will also work closely with the Publisher Development team and CRO, supporting revenue generation efforts through strategic digital marketing programs, new customer acquisition, and best-in-class sales collateral and presentations.

  • Effectively manage and grow existing Marketing team to consistently deliver on expanding marketing priorities
  • Manage defined annual marketing budget
  • Master the competitive universe, inform the roadmap as appropriate, and provide other team members with messaging and content to stay ahead
  • Develop product positioning, messaging and value proposition for maximum user impact
  • Oversee all experiential efforts, including: tradeshows, conferences, workshops and custom events
  • Oversee digital marketing strategic planning and execution, including: SEO, digital advertising, social media, email marketing, and distribution
  • Exceed customer marketing expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction in everything we do
  • Combine both quantitative (metrics) and qualitative (user feedback) data to optimize conversion funnels, and drive customer retention and satisfaction
  • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions.
  • Work with product managers to shape successful product launches

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience managing a marketing team within a SaaS or digital advertising company, coupled with 10+ years of experience within a B2B marketing and/or advertising environment
  • Experience in hiring, training and managing a high performance team
  • Proven track record growing SaaS services using internet marketing techniques
  • Significant experience working with online advertising platforms including Adwords, display networks, Facebook, and retargeting, including appropriate attribution modelling
  • Successful track record of crushing marketing KPIs, including:
  • MQL, Churn, CLV, CAC, and NPS
  • Experience optimizing conversion funnels and developing innovative conversion strategies
  • Experience with effectively partnering on large-scale project teams and driving tasks to completion
  • Advanced knowledge of web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics), proficiency in marketing automation (Hubspot) and CRM software (Salesforce)
  • Work with BI to create, monitor and improve media attribution dashboards and relevant KPI’s for daily, weekly and monthly sharing
  • Relevant University Degree or College Diploma

Bonus points and nice to have qualities

  • Ability to conduct and report on multivariate testing and A/B experiments
  • Working experience as a product marketer, defining a product’s messaging, positioning, value proposition, and brand
  • Previous marketing experience within a credible SSP/DSP/Exchange/Header Bidder company
