The Role
Atimi is looking for a UX/UI Designer to join our Design team, based in downtown Vancouver. We're looking for a multi-talented individual who brings a wide set of skills and experience to the table. As a UX/UI Designer at Atimi, you’ll be responsible for:  wireframing and prototyping to validate ideas, establishing art direction and creating high-fidelity mock-ups/prototype, and iterating often. You will help shape the direction of our client’s products with ownership over each step of the design process.

Responsibilities

• Mobile Strategy: Contribute to the creation of a global mobile app strategy by supporting the Design Team.
• Mobile Interaction Design: Creating and maintaining innovative and compelling mobile interaction experiences for both iOS and android apps. This will include leading design workshops and creating user task flows, conceptual and detailed, annotated wireframes & prototypes.
• User Research, usability testing and competitive analysis

Required Skills
Applicant must possess good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to solve complex problems and think creatively. You must be willing to learn new methods, keep on top of emerging trends in mobile design and user-centred design.

• Diploma or degree in design or related fields
• Knowledge of UX and UI processes
• Ability to execute visually appealing hi-fi mockups and prototypes
• Ability to take and give art direction and critique
• Must have a keen eye for detail
• 4-5 yrs working experience at an agency or design studio
• Strong conceptual thinking
• Understanding of typography and design
• Interest in emerging technologies and design trends
• Ability to collaborate with a team and also work autonomously
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Proficiency in relevant software applications (ie. Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, etc)
• Mobile app design experience a plus
