UX Designer- Bigpark Studios Vancouver Job

The Interactive TV group within Microsoft Studios/Xbox is looking for a UX Designer to realize our vision to be the #1 choice for sports and television entertainment.

We are seeking an energetic and flexible UX Designer with a strong foundation in designing interactive experiences for web, mobile, and game services. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high quality multi-device consumer experiences.   This role reports into our UX Design lead and will work closely with the technical team, producers, and other leaders to develop and release world-class entertainment experiences.

Responsibilities:

Conceive and develop well-crafted user experiences with teammates.

Develop feature design briefs, logic flows and screen wireframes within evolving technology, business, and time constraints.

Provide a magic touch for the feel of experience through controls and user feedback.

Author and own clear, concise and complete documentation including diagrams, visual content, and prototyping.

Work effectively in a team of designers, artists and engineers.

Able to communicate target quality and feature behavior.

Handle the most complex, technology constrained or iteration sensitive systems.

Partner with production, technologists and art team to prioritize work.

Stay on top of contemporary UI design concepts and patterns.

Attends software reviews and supports production and marketing as subject matter expert and user advocate for their product areas.

Bring energy and positivity to your design work and see it through to completion.

Take ownership of user and product stories and balance your user-centered design practices with business requirements.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 to 4 years of UX design experience in a production environment.

Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, HCI, Human Factors, Cognitive Psych, or similar field, or equivalent experience.

Superb communication skills. Able to work with other disciplines.

Effective at problem solving skills, group brainstorming and problem solving / iterative design.

Must have experience working with research.

Hands-on experience on at least 1-2 different products (apps, video games, social or location based services).

Technical experience prototyping, delivering, and tuning online multi-platform experiences (web, mobile, tablet or PC based).

Experience with multiple prototyping, presentation, and documentation methods.

Experience working on at least one product with significant online functionality.
