Job Description

We are looking for a UI/UX Designer and product thinker to join our team in Vancouver. You will work alongside our Product Manager and Development team to conceptualize and design innovative features that go beyond the standards of corporate food ordering and delivery. We seek a designer with an outstanding portfolio and the ability to implement those designs.

Candidates must be driven to create smooth interactions, and have the ability to synthesize the brand with the user experience. We are looking for candidates who have experience with agile teams, who are not afraid to get their hands dirty, and who value iterative development of both products and process.

KEY DUTIES:

• Working with the Development Team to track, measure, and optimize user interaction

• Working with the Product Manager to conceptualize and quickly prototype ideas

• Working with Marketing Designer to maintain brand consistency

• Designing/improving features for customers (Foodee website), internal staff (custom Foodee software) and delivery drivers (Driver iOS & Android Mobile App)

• Regularly presenting work for review and feedback

• Optimizing user's task flows from start to finish

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Experience optimizing e-commerce websites

• A Strong portfolio of previous work

• Strong opinions on customer success

• Ability to obtain project requirements and understand expectations

• Ability to seek out, receive and synthesize feedback from the team and stakeholders

• Ability to communicate thought behind all design decisions

• Experience creating interactive and high-res mockups

• Experience with User Journeys and User Testing

• The desire to build new things, and the ability to execute in a fast-paced environment

NICE TO HAVE:

• Ability to create HTML templates

• Experience with front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, Pattern Libraries)

• Experience with UX copywriting

• Willingness to participate in mentoring and skills transfer among team members

MUST BE ABLE TO USE:

• Sketch, Adobe CC Suite or similar prototyping/wireframing software

• Invision for sharing and prototyping mockups
