Your Core Responsibilities

  • Design wireframes, mockups, and workflows for user stories and technical development
  • Evaluate UI challenges and present ideas focused on interaction design and usability
  • Maintain and use UI design systems for our web and mobile apps
  • Conduct user testing and research to guide design decisions and user flows
  • Work closely with engineers to push the limits of existing web technology and UX
  • Present design ideas to clients, stakeholders, and peers for review, working within an iterative design process
  • Evaluate modern design tools and best practices to continuously evolve and improve the design process

Your Education, Experience & Skill Sets

  • Degree or diploma in a UI/UX/design discipline, or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • 3+ years experience in UI/UX design for web and mobile
  • 2+ years experience working on a product design team
  • Stand-out portfolio of UI work showing UX process and design rationale (research, wireframes, sketches, and visual design)
  • Collaborative mindset, able to receive constructive feedback and iterate towards the best idea
  • Ability to gracefully manage multiple priorities and requests while staying organized
  • Great design aesthetic (composition, symmetry, balance, white space, and so on)
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present design solutions
  • Comfortable solving complex design problems and designing interfaces that are pleasurable to use
  • Knowledge of a variety of real world UX research methods and techniques
  • Strong proficiency with Sketch and prototyping tools

Stuff That Earns You Bonus Points

  • Experience running user interviews, remote usability tests and data analysis
  • Experience designing and maintaining a Style Guide
  • Branding & Illustration skills (custom iconography, graphic elements, and so on)
  • Previous experience working within an interactive agency
