We’re looking for a UI Designer (6-month contract) to join our Canadian team in downtown Vancouver. This role has the opportunity of being extended into a full-time position.

RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Work closely with the Art Director to establish company-wide brand and style guidelines.
  • Create pixel perfect PSD mockups to support development team. Guides and detailed alignment to be included in the mockups.
  • Work day-to-day with the development team to deliver a high-quality, consistent UI. Ensure final product from developers is reproduced exactly to mockups.
  • Improve the user experience of our web and mobile apps with a primary focus on user interface.
  • Contribute to brand consistency and usability initiatives.
  • Implement the established brand and style guidelines on a multitude of projects, across media such as web, mobile, app, and sometimes print.

SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of current and emerging UX/UI standards for mobile and web applications.
  • Comfortable with Production heavy design contribution.
  • Strong interpersonal communication.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to accept constructive feedback.
  • Produce high quality work within tight deadlines.
  • Have a creative eye with extreme attention to detail and a passion for typography.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

EXPERIENCE

  • Certificate or Diploma in Interactive design.
  • Complete Understanding of the responsive design approach.
  • Worked with clients or contractors in the past in a freelance environment.
  • Please provide website for portfolio to previous work.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Good understanding of mobile application design patterns.
  • Experience with working mobile or web applications or developers.
  • Worked with Mac OSX and UNIX environment.
