Social Media Marketing Consultant contract

Kensington Communications (kensingtontv.com) is one of Canada’s leading documentary production companies with a 30-year track record producing award-winning documentaries for all screens. We want to add a consultant to our team who is digitally savvy, smart and motivated, and experienced at digital/social media marketing. While the position will begin as a part-time short-term contract, we hope to develop an ongoing relationship for future projects.

Roles & Responsibilities
The focus of this position is to develop a strategy to market Kensington’s documentary productions, notably the upcoming second season of the multiplatform series, Museum Secrets (History Television), as well as the company as a whole. You will conduct a post-mortem of marketing activities to date and develop digital marketing strategies with a focus on social media and online pr and outreach.
Primary tasks: Working with the Kensington team, conduct a post-mortem of marketing activities to date for specific properties as well as the company as a whole. And developing a marketing plan with a focus on building engaged audiences for TV programs, websites and mobile applications, driving online video views of Kensington content, and sales in our online store.

Qualifications
You are an experienced digital/social media marketing professional with strategy and management experience; -You love documentaries; -You are: a team player, digitally savvy, motivated, independent and a natural problem solver; -Well-organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through. -You have: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
