We have an exciting opportunity in our Employee Support Solutions line of business (LOB) on the Marketing and Product Team as a Social Media Lead. The position will allow you to apply your social media passion and expertise to grow our business and in turn, help more people access our industry-leading health, wellness, and training services. You will be a key member of our Marketing Team, serving as our social media subject matter expert, providing leadership and action on our line of business social media strategy.

Reporting to the Marketing Communications Manager, the Social Media Lead’s responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with key stakeholders to develop and execute on a comprehensive social media strategy, based on our strategic priorities, that increases brand and product visibility, drives traffic and creates engagement to ultimately drive revenue for our line of business
  • Create and maintain a compelling social media editorial calendar and posting schedule
  • Deliver against the social media strategy by coordinating the LOBs day-to-day presence on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and other social media as appropriate
  • Leverage content created by our research, clinical, communications, and marketing teams; as well as writing new pieces to create social media content that compels audience members to take action
  • Developing and implement paid social media campaigns designed to meet the goals set out in the social media strategy, including campaign set-up, real-time optimizations, budget/spend management, etc.
  • Propose monthly budget allocations with a goal of maximizing ROI
  • Monitor, analyze, report on, and optimize ongoing social media advertising
  • Strategize with and educate the management team and other key stakeholders about integration of social media channels and tactics into products and services
  • Driving strategic focus of our blog;  including participating in writing and editing compelling and relevant blog posts that meet Search Engine Optimization best practices
  • Develop, grow and engage a community to drive online traffic and leads from our social network presence
  • Listen and engage in relevant social discussion about our company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing customers and leads, and from brand new audiences that don’t yet know us
  • Utilize reporting tools such as Google Analytics, internal data to deliver periodic analytics reports to peer and interest groups and identify opportunities for target audiences and topics
  • Measure and report on the impact of social media activities against objectives
  • Strongly advocates for social media and integration of social media in marketing activities
  • Initiate and lead appropriate cross-functional client meetings
  • Find and develop partnerships with industry influencers in the online environment
  • Staying current with new ways to leverage social media activities
  • Manage Social Media Specialist and/or performance of external vendor

Succeeding as a Social Media Lead will require the following core qualifications and skills:

  • BA/BS/B Comm. Degree in Marketing, Communication or related field
  • Social media certification an asset

Subject matter expertise:

  • 5-7 years’ experience, in a digital/social agency setting or in-house brand social team for a large organization, with creating and implementing social media strategies
  • Proven experience using LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube/Vimeo to distribute and amplify an organization’s content, manage reputation, develop relationships, and drive website traffic
  • Current understanding of paid social media landscape and experience creating, analyzing, reporting and optimizing paid LinkedIn advertising campaigns
  • Understand the business to business marketing landscape
  • Overall social media expertise to provide consistent thought leadership to senior leaders
  • Search Engine Optimization skills to optimize blog posts
  • Ability to uncover and develop partnerships with industry influencers on social

Writing and design skills

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills as it pertains to social media, including the ability to convey complex ideas and/or sensitive topics in a clear and compelling way
  • General knowledge of design in order to work with design team to create visually appealing graphics to coordinate with appropriate posts

Metrics tracking and reporting

  • Well versed in development, monitoring, and reporting of social media key performance indicators
  • Ability to source and summarize applicable data

Technology skills

  • Advanced command of analytics platforms such as Google Analytics
  • Proficient skills in Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Basic HTML skills and experience uploading content to a Content Management System such as WordPress, Drupal or similar system

General professional skills

  • Solid judgment, decision making skills, integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation
  • A positive, energetic, and motivated team player who has the ability to deal with high-pressure situations in a fast-paced work environment while meetings deadlines and being detail-oriented
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing situations
  • Able to work collaboratively with a variety of internal or external stakeholders/contacts
  • Bilingualism (English and French) a strong asset
