Plan, create, and implement high impact visual communications for digital, online, social media, and web platforms. Support the management and growth of corporate social media channels and groups.


  • Design and execute a positive and engaging user experience (UX) based on best practices and innovation to ensure the website and social media sites reflect TMI’s market leadership
  • Translate complicated scientific studies/reports into persuasive copy
  • Translate requests from internal customers into creative and impactful copy
  • Develop unique content for website and social media sites
  • Design and write copy for website and social media sites
  • Ensure brand consistency and maintain corporate identity and brand strategies
  • Publish content for multi-device optimization
  • Respond to audience content


  • Develop an understanding of audiences and their needs
  • Collect data to evaluate success and suggest improvements
  • Generate weekly/monthly metrics reports to demonstrate measurement of social media impact
  • Perform web based research to monitor trends and current events



  • Develop and implement social media plans
  • Design and maintain websites
  • Use storyboarding and wireframing where appropriate
  • Execute other related strategic and tactical plans


  • Develop social media guidelines
  • Build active and sustainable online communities by driving conversations on applicable social media platforms
  • Conceptualize and present new approaches and solutions to problems
  • Monitor the marketplace for new and upcoming trends, campaigns, technologies, and best practices
  • Recommend process improvements


  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation, including the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, etc.


  • Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures and legislation


  • Perform special projects as required
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development, as appropriate
  • Fully utilize TMI resources to ensure delivery of a quality product to all internal and external customers at a minimal cost


  • College Diploma in Web Design, Development, Graphic Design
  • Three to five years experience designing and creating website and social media content
  • Knowledge of user experience (UX) design and usability principles
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
    • Knowledge of landing page optimization methodologies
  • Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent grammar and copy-editing skills
  • Solid writing skills in multiple forms, e.g. plans, print, digital
  • Digital and online communication expert

  • WCAG 2.0 level AA for websites and web content is an asset
  • Graphics, Multi-Media, and Design Applications:
