Position Summary

Cymax is hiring a SEO Specialist who is passionate about the digital marketing industry and has capacity to manage several projects simultaneously in a hyper growth company. You’ll be responsible for maximizing Cymax’s North American search engine exposure for relevant search results across devices in order to increase brand exposure, qualified website traffic and online sales.

You have a track record of creating strategic SEO roadmaps for e-commerce companies, communicating the value across multiple teams, working with Development to implement changes and education teams on best practices, tactics, management tools and industry updates.

About the Role

  • Develop, implement and manage SEO tactics for (US), (CDN) as well as other Cymax owned web properties
  • Develop, implement and manage local SEO tactics to increase localized online exposure
  • Work with PR and Marketing teams member to ensure online content distribution includes SEO best practices
  • Initiate regular interaction with SEM and IT teams to monitor campaign progress and performance
  • Communicate SEO strategies, goals and best practices to relevant teams
  • Understand short and long term Company objectives and goals
  • On a regular basis conduct SEO audits, website performance, keyword/phrase rankings, analysis, competitive benchmarking and gap analysis
  • Work in partnership with the UX team to recommend, test and implement various SEO techniques and website layouts in order to increase usability, website engagement, and online conversions
  • Lead on and off-page SEO strategies and tactics
  • Conduct detailed keyword research for new and existing programs
  • Maintain up-to-date understanding of search marketing industry
  • Working with the brand team to optimize visual assets including video and images

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Minimum of three years of SEO experience and reporting, preferably for a high volume e-commerce company
  • Degree or Diploma in Computing Science or diploma in Web Development or related industry
  • Proficiency with HTML, PHP, CSS, and web standards preferred
  • US SEO experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of how web design and architecture affects SEO
  • Strong knowledge of Search Engine algorithms and experience using industry tools
  • Passionate about SEO best practices, industry trends, and ensuring the best possible user experience for website visitors
  • Proven track record of increasing SEO traffic, quality and revenue for an e-commerce company
  • Extensive experience using SEO reporting tools, MOZ, Google webmaster tools, Google Analytics and Excel
  • Ability to effectively communicate SEO needs to both IT and marketing/brand teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a self-directed environment
  • Deep experience in keyword research
  • Relevant Digital Marketing industry knowledge: SEM, Websites, Display advertising, Mobile & Social
  • Proficient skills in MS Office
  • You are a self starter and jump at the chance to learn new things
  • Results oriented and process driven, with high expectations of self and team
  • Excellent time management, planning, problem solving and execution skills
