Position: Senior Product Marketing Manager
Location: Toronto, Canada
ViXS Systems Inc. is looking for a senior marketing / business development professional to define the next generation of ViXS products.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop strategic alliances and evangelize ViXS technology to complement and promote sales growth of ViXS components. The candidate should be comfortable in pitching products that are in conceptual stage as well as production and should have a very good architectural understanding of Digital TV, Set-Top Boxes, and Consumer Electronic products such as Blu-Ray. It is important that the ideal candidate be able to push forth their objectives to ensure the success of their product in the market place.
Creating business plans and marketing plans
Working with strategic customers on product development and reference systems, technical specifications for internal and external use, roadshows, and tradeshows
Assist in business development
Work with standards committees, contracts/IP procurement etc.
The candidate will also play an account manager role in interfacing with key customers
Qualifications & Requirements:
Technical knowledge of Wi-Fi, MPEG, AVC,VC-1, Transcoding, Encoding, DTVs, Set Top Boxes and display controllers will benefit candidate greatly.
The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years experience and will view his success through achievable, meaningful and quantifiable successes.
Must have track record of success in the semiconductor industry
Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Must be flexible and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment and changing priorities
Must be willing to travel
