Job Description (EN):
The Senior Manager, Marketing - Industry Program is a member of the Marketplace team, and is responsible for leading the marketing, operations and infrastructure of the firm’s national Industry Program. This role works closely with the National Industry Program Leader, as well as the National Industry Leaders and Teams of each of the focused industries, to develop and implement go-to-market strategies to strengthen BDO’s market position in these areas. This role also leads a team, and works closely with the National Marketplace Team and Regional Offices.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Collaborate with the National Industry Teams to develop strong annual business plans to build the firm’s market presence and business development opportunities
Advise the National Industry Teams on marketing best practices and recommendations to support the development and execution of business plans
Identify business issues in target industry sectors, client segments and geographic areas to recommend new initiatives and program enhancements to Industry Leaders
Develop and lead the execution of prospect and client interaction opportunities in support of the industry business plans, including but not limited to thought leadership initiatives, client/prospect outreach events, digital marketing, advertising, and sponsorship programs
Lead internal branding and communications initiatives to promote industry specialization across the firm
Manage the operations of the Industry Program, including industry leaders meetings, internal communications and knowledge sharing platforms, related internal systems and processes, and reporting
Lead a team of marketing professionals, including development of the team’s capabilities through coaching, mentoring, knowledge transfer, internal training and cross training
Work closely with the Marketplace team, local offices, and National Business Lines to build alignment of strategy and resources to support the Industry Program
Develop and manage the marketing budget for the Industry Program, including reporting throughout the year
Collaborate with the BDO global network to leverage industry initiatives from other Member Firms
Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge
7 – 10 years of demonstrated experience and expertise in business to business (B2B) marketing or business development; experience in professional services is preferred
Strong sense of business acumen to understand the diverse markets of the industries of focus and interpret insights to support the development of marketing strategy
Experience developing strong relationships with senior executives, including leading meetings and delivering presentations and other communication with an executive presence
Experience leading a team, including performance reviews, training and professional development, and coaching and mentoring
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, a collaborative nature, and the ability to work in a team environment
Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
