Online Marketing Coordinator

Our company has an immediate need for an Online Marketing Coordinator at our Richmond-Hill location. We are looking for a self-starter who would be responsible for assisting in the growth of our social media and overall E-Commerce presence. The candidate must have experience managing online shopping accounts, such as Amazon, be proficient with Excel and have a solid understanding of social media and online marketing best practices. This individual should have strong analytical skills and the ability to anticipate future marketing trends. The ideal candidate is customer focused and has excellent interpersonal skills.

The responsibilities for this role would include the following:

Product Database Maintenance

  • Managing online shopping accounts, including but not limited to Amazon
  • Writing product descriptions and key features for new products
  • Managing and maintaining company website (ie. applying coupon codes, banner placements, sales promotions)
  • Adding new product information and editing existing information
  • Creating keywords for SEO to increase traffic
  • Adjusting product prices as necessary
  • Ensuring consistent product information is pushed through all channels

Marketplace Management

  • Creating and analyzing daily and weekly sales and inventory reports for Management’s review to identify sales and inventory trends
  • Providing order & shipment advice to the Management team, based on sales history
  • Ensuring the inventory is well-stocked for upcoming events (back to school, Christmas, Mother’s Day, etc.)
  • Addressing customer inquiries and returns (feedback, requests, complaints) via email or phone

Social Media

  • Manage social media platforms, with specific goals to grow followers, engagement and brand mentions across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube
  • Plan, design and execute social media campaigns
  • Create and execute a social media calendar for all platforms
  • Manage content creation, approvals, posting and monitoring/reporting for all platforms
  • Provide regular updates to the team on social media performance, and formulate ideas or make recommendations for new campaigns/approaches
  • Actively seek opportunities for new tools and platforms to improve the companies’ performance with their online communities
  • Ensure all social media updates and communications are on-brand and consistent in terms of style, quality and voice

Other duties as required

The successful applicant will have the following qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience managing online shopping accounts, including but not limited to Amazon
  • Proven work experience as a Social Media coordinator
  • Expertise in multiple social media platforms
  • In-depth working knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
  • Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels
  • Ability to gasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Multitasking and analytical skills
  • Must be customer focused
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Able to prioritize and meet weekly deadlines
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Photography experience is an asset
  • Photoshop experience is an asset
