What’s it like working as a Marketing Specialistat Questrade?
As a Marketing Specialist, you will manage multiple marketing campaigns consisting of online banner ads, print ads, SEM text ads, social media, and email marketing to support new account acquisition, lead generation, and client growth and retention for Questrade. You will work closely with multiple stakeholders including other members of the marketing department subject matter experts, LOB leads/owners, sales, finance, and the Questrade technology group (QTG) to ensure successful implementation of all assigned projects.

You will manage campaign and project execution with external agencies, vendors, and cross-functional departments and will work closely with copywriters, graphic designers and developers to develop them. Tight deadlines are no match for you! You can expertly implement advertising and promotional campaigns to ensure projects are executed on time and on budget. You will traffic approvals with all stakeholders to ensure compliance with communication policies, procedures, brand standards, and industry regulations and will schedule creative campaign and related communication element deployments with appropriate marketing managers. You strive for continuous improvement and will take initiative in performing ongoing industry and competitive analysis in addition to developing specifications and obtaining quotes for print production. You will track and process purchase orders and marketing invoices in addition to handling any special projects as assigned by senior management. And to top it off, you’ll get to use your adept analysis skills to expertly evaluate campaigns and programs using specified metrics, objectives, and reporting. Up for the challenge?
So are YOU our next Marketing Specialist? You are if…
Your marketing and project management expertise was developed through your degree/diploma in marketing or communications and 3+ years of related work experience, preferably in a marketing or advertising agency. You are also proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, especially using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. You possess excellent communication, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills, and have a strong attention to detail. You have an exceptional ability to perform in a deadline oriented, fast-paced environment like ours (can we stress this enough?) and can work on multiple projects and with a variety of stakeholders with ease. You also show initiative and bring forward great new ideas. What would make this an even better match? You have some brokerage or financial services experience and take a keen interest in the markets. Maybe you’ve obtained your Canadian Securities Course (CSC) too, or are fluent in French, Mandarin, or Cantonese.
