Marketing & Sales Manager contract
The QWeMA Group (www.qwema.ca) is looking for a full-time employee at its downtown Toronto office, currently located at the Fields Institute, 222 College Street. The QWeMA Group is a small, privately-owned software company focused on developing unique and proprietary algorithms in the “retirement income planning” field.
The QWeMA Group needs an employee dedicated to helping advertise and promote the company’s unique software tools to prospects. This involves undertaking projects and activities related to the promotion, purchase and implementation of the company’s software tools by clients: supporting individual sales of software tools, creating web and promotional content and collateral, developing and responding to project proposals, monitoring and updating the company’s web site and managing the publication and distribution of the company’s newsletter. The ideal employee would serve as a link between our customers and our internal software development and management team.
We are looking for a project manager who can take the lead on these processes and projects, managing both details and the “big picture.” The successful candidate will have a very good general understanding of financial markets and products and be able to communicate this knowledge to a wide audience, focusing particularly on financial advisors.
The ideal candidate has undergraduate and possibly graduate training in Business Finance, along with a few years of experience in the financial services industry. Knowledge of financial mathematics, and/or financial economics would be a plus although is not required; as is knowledge of web authoring tools (DreamWeaver or equivalent). The candidate absolutely must have a comprehensive working knowledge of the most recent version of MS Office (especially PowerPoint, Word and Excel), which are the primary front-end used in producing all our materials.
The salary is commensurate with experience and is expected to be in the general vicinity of $45,000 per year with a substantial bonus component based on year-end performance and company profits. The first month of employment will involve a probationary training period, and the position will become permanent soon thereafter.
