Marketing Operations Specialist Full-Time

Infrastructure & Tools Responsibilities

  • Assume ownership of the Eloqua marketing automation system at Prophix and ensure its capabilities are fully leveraged to drive world-class marketing
  • Design, document, build, test and deploy enhancements to Eloqua
  • Maintain user roles and profiles, security settings, access settings etc. (User Profiles, Role Hierarchy, Sharing Rules and Security) in Eloqua
  • Create and manage custom objects, fields, formulas, validation rules, custom workflow, and approval processes in Eloqua
  • Research changes in upcoming versions of Eloqua and other integrated applications; provide recommendations when necessary to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Design and develop integrations between Eloqua and other applications / systems, in particular
  • Manage and frequently evaluate lead scoring system in Eloqua and ensure proper integration with
  • Develop and drive a strategic roadmap for data completeness, data accuracy, timely processing of data, KPIs for marketing effectiveness and efficiencies based on business goals
  • Develop a plan for the structure of the prospect database to support marketing activities/reporting and enable growth
  • Segmenting and leveraging the marketing database for efficient and effective campaign targeting
  • Oversee and manage other marketing/sales tools such as LeadLander, GoTo, LinkedIn, InsideView and other custom applications

Analyst Responsibilities

  • Develop and produce dashboards to provide visibility across marketing activities. Key dashboards will promote analysis of spend and effectiveness of marketing channels
  • Analyze data related to opportunity conversions, accuracy of opportunity stages/probability, sales and marketing funnel velocity, campaign performance, database health, and acquisition source and program/touch-point effectiveness
  • Provide analysis to other members of the marketing team to accurately and effectively target our markets
  • Design and deliver high-quality, professional business reports and dashboards at appropriate levels across the organization
  • Perform ad hoc analyses and data investigation/discovery to identify and/or explain business and marketing trends or anomalies

Process Responsibilities

  • Work with sales operations team to define data required to perform desired analyses and participate in the development of data processes to deliver required data
  • Responsibility for all list uploads to the marketing automation system
  • Maintain a holistic view of all business processes and users in the system to understand cross-functional impacts with regard to configuration, process, workflow and reporting.
  • Contribute on the technical side of business projects and create solutions to meet challenges (including performing detailed analysis of technical and business requirements).
  • Create tighter marketing and sales alignment around key account lists, metrics and marketing hand-off to sales to improve efficiency and effectiveness of marketing funnel
  • Work closely with sales operations and the CRM  system regarding processes required to run an effective and efficient marketing organization
  • Establishing automation processes including lead scoring, integrations and lead workflows
  • Recommending improvements to existing systems and processes as well as identifying new ways to increase marketing ROI
  • Oversee the design and implementation of key regulatory initiatives including Canadian Anti-Spam Law (CASL) in relation to both process and marketing infrastructure systems

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Marketing Operations is a person with a multi-faceted skill set, interested in the use of technology in Marketing, capable of speaking the language of business and strategic deliverables, and with the ability to analyse and report on results effectively
  • 2+ years in-depth marketing automation experience with Eloqua administration or implementation
  • CRM experience (ideally Eloqua and Salesforce) and API integration with CRM platforms and web properties would be considered favourably
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related discipline
  • 5+ years of years B2B technology marketing operations experience
  • Ability to think strategically, but also have exceptional attention to detail in execution
  • Results-driven with very strong ability to analyze quantitative data to determine program effectiveness, ROI, forecasting
  • Must have some financial analysis skills
  • Demonstrated results in improving sales pipeline/funnel close and conversion ratios
  • Direct experience and understanding of working with data cleansing and reporting tools
  • A highly analytical mind and the ability to apply creative ideas.
