RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Marketing Manager helps develop and execute marketing campaigns for all DHX Media divisions, including TV distribution, consumer products and interactive.  This role is responsible for the execution of trade advertising, broadcast relations, public relations and events.  Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Oversee the preparation for markets and trade shows, including registration, signage, deliveries and schedules
  • Manage creation, approvals and production of sales and marketing collateral and advertising, ranging from sell sheets and brand updates to sizzle reels
  • Coordinate the creation and approvals of press releases, working closely with PR agency, investor relations and external stakeholders
  • Manage social media strategy and execution, in co-operation with key stakeholders
  • Develop and distribute electronic press kits, collaborating with production units
  • Collaborate with key broadcasters, specifically programming, promotions, publicity and online teams
  • Ensure that corporate and property websites are kept current
  • Performs ongoing competitive tracking and market analysis
  • Lead domestic and international awards submission process
  • Work closely with Director of Marketing to manage and track annual marketing budgets and spending
  • Develop good knowledge of DHX titles (read scripts, screen episodes) consult on episodes to be picked for screening
  • Manage purchase orders and invoices for department related payment

QUALIFICATIONS:

The Marketing Manager should possess the following skills and experience:

  • Three to four years of relevant experience, preferably in entertainment or brand management
  • Demonstrated past success in the development and execution of marketing programs
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Affinity for the entertainment industry
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a high paced environment and meet multiple deadlines and drive others to do the same
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Spoken and written French is an asset
