We’re growing and looking for a Marketing Manager to join our talented and passionate team to help us in our overall marketing efforts.

In this integral role, you will be managing a 4+ person marketing team as well as acting as a Project Manager for all marketing and design projects--combining your experience in the development and execution of marketing plans with your impeccable and meticulous project management skills. Reporting to the VP of Brand Marketing, you will also support the implementation of marketing strategy and projects and ensure the completion of such projects and deadlines are met.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or equivalent

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in Marketing, including managing a marketing team

  • You have at least 3 years of managerial experience
  • You have hands-on experience in Project Management

  • You have a strong understanding of data (e.g. Google Analytics) and can make business decisions based on data analysis

  • You are highly proficient in Excel

  • You have an outstanding attention to detail with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams and execute go-to-market plans, from conception through launch and adoption

  • You are able to influence multiple stakeholders and lead cross-functional projects, and have experience working with external partners and agencies

  • You have rock-solid experience in SEO and building and optimizing inbound marketing campaigns geared towards new customer acquisition in a B2C business

  • You are highly organized, an exceptional communicator, and have a strong ability to multitask and meet deadlines

  • You are passionate about your field and well-versed in specialized marketing concepts, principles, and tactics

  • You are naturally curious. You love learning how things work and you’re always looking for ways to innovate and improve. You enjoy testing different strategies and tracking the results. You have experience in running a/b tests and optimizing projects per performance insights.

  • A personal connection to photography, design or the arts

  • Start-up agile process experience

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the marketing team of 4+ individuals to successfully develop and achieve objectives per defined strategy

  • Facilitate and manage the production of marketing and design projects. Manage projects produced by the internal marketing and design teams and/or an external creative agency. This will involve writing creative briefs, obtaining stakeholder approval, and effective project management--ensuring that campaigns are delivered to a high standard, on time and on budget.

  • Together with marketing team and partners ensure projects are providing maximum ROI and are optimized for search

  • Lead the execution of multiple marketing plans, including market research, channel strategy, and go-to-market plans

  • Lead strategic marketing partnership efforts. Orchestrate, manage, and oversee projects and relations with educational and strategic business partners

  • Manage marketing performance reports, budget trackers, and project calendars

  • Provide status, project reports, insights, and recommendations to VP of Brand Marketing

  • Provide constant feedback to stakeholders on performance and project status

  • Ideate creative strategies for marketing campaigns, new products and services, and how to fulfil/get ahead of current market demands

Your typical day at Format will involve:

  • Working at a desk, a standup desk, from home, or a couch (as long as you don’t mind sharing it with an occasional office dog)
