Aveda Canada is currently looking for a Marketing Manager with both great creative ideas and strong analytical skills; this is an exciting position for an innovative marketer with proven ability to drive results. Reporting to the company President, this is a great opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a dynamic marketing team.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee the ongoing design, development and implementation of strategic marketing campaigns to build sales
- Establish acceptable best practices and processes for implementation by the marketing team
- Develop innovative strategies to achieve desired market positions for the different brands
- Responsible for overseeing and managing marketing/communications budgets
- Continually identify new and innovative marketing opportunities and to refine programs
- Work directly with the sales and operations teams, to recommend, develop, and execute sales and promotional activities to achieve sales goals
- Prepare budgets, quarterly forecasts and business reports
- Manage the execution of tactical elements of marketing programs and product launches, including setting up promotions, working collaboratively with Marketing and the Creative teams, ensuring communication to all location staff
- Provide detailed reports on all key marketing activities
- Oversee retention programs
- Analyze results and competitive trends; provide feedback and recommendations
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in a marketing management role
- Undergraduate degree, preferably in marketing, advertising or related fields of study
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in an environment of rapid change and shifting priorities
- Must be a team leader and effective team player
- Able to work collaboratively and independently, excellent judgment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in developing acquisition and retention programs
- Beauty/Cosmetics industry experience preferred
