Marketing Junior Designer & Copywriter (contract) contract
Job Summary
Provides support to the Marketing Department through the conscientious application of Sporting Life standards to achieve our mission statement: To be a retailer with Passion, Knowledge, Integrity committed to a relentless desire to improve our performance in creating the highest quality shopping experience for all Customers and Staff.
Essential Functions
Administrative Tasks:
• Archiving all advertising: e-mails, newspaper ads, web assets, in-store digital network
o Hard copy: e-mails, newspaper ads
o Soft copy: all of the above
• Vendor image asset bank control
• Marketing report for competitors: maintain eBlast binder
• Update in-store digital network
• Assist Marketing Manager as required
Design & Copy:
- Roll out assets: e-mail, mobile e-mail, HTML page, feature windows, banners, carousels, promo tiles
- Create in-store signage
- Write copy for all advertising campaigns
- Assist with designing campaigns as required
PR & Photo shoots:
- Assist with PR as required: fact check for media, check inventory for all products pushed out to media
- Photo shoot copy & credit checks
Skill Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related discipline
- Competency with Adobe programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Ability to meet deadlines in a position with changing priorities
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to work well with others
- Excellent organizational skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and produce results under pressure
