Marketing Coordinator Full-Time

POSITION: The ThinkFOOD! Marketing & Programming Associate will be responsible for actively marketing the concept of ThinkFOOD! to all of its major stakeholder groups. This will be achieved by bringing the ThinkFOOD! experience to life through the creative implementation of a comprehensive communication plan complemented by broad-reaching execution of programming dedicated to creating a food-savvy, consumer-centric population at Maple Leaf Foods. Critical to success in this role is an ability to manage multiple projects at one time and a willingness to contribute fully as a ThinkFOOD! team member. This position will allow for participation in a wide variety of food-related activities and is ideal for individuals looking for broad exposure to one of Canada’s largest food producers.


Manage ThinkFOOD!-led programming at Maple Leaf Foods

-Responsibility for the co-development and implementation of programming that expands Maple Leaf’s capacity for innovation and that builds a passion for food within the company
-Works collaboratively with ThinkFOOD! team members to develop a broad-ranging set of programs/events that are run from the ThinkFOOD! centre
-Liaises with external/internal speakers and subject matter experts to arrange speaking engagements
-Organizes and oversees contribution of ThinkFOOD! team members to event/program delivery and personally participates in the running of food-focused events
-Develops and publishes quarterly learning calendar
-Makes programming/content accessible to all Maple Leaf employees through creative use of technology
-Develops metrics to monitor impact of programming over time

Develop ThinkFOOD! Marketing materials

-Responsibility for developing and distributing promotional materials that will help further ThinkFOOD!’s goal to drive innovation at Maple Leaf Foods
-Design and distribute appropriate ThinkFOOD! promotional materials using a variety of media
-Create and distribute actionable trend information to targeted audiences

-Collects, summarizes and reports key ThinkFOOD! metrics (facility utilization, program attendance, customer satisfaction, etc.)

Manage ThinkFOOD! Communications

-Responsibility for contributing to the development of a comprehensive communication plan for ThinkFOOD! targeted to visitors to the facility, other MLF employees, customers, consumers and industry groups.
-Prepare articles for weekly inclusion in MLF Corporate publications including
-Develop and distribute frequent newsletters for MLF staff
-Oversee content development for ThinkFOOD! media towers
-Generate content for Maple Leaf’s online digital properties
-Contributes to ThinkFOOD!’s recipe development/documentation process
