Marketing Coordinator full-time
MARKETING COORDINATOR – BOMA Toronto
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
The Marketing Coordinator supports the Marketing & Communications Department to drive an enhanced member experience and maximize exposure for BOMA Toronto, reaching members through all communication streams, providing branding support for events, and assisting in the overall branding for the organization.
MARCOM SUPPORT
Track and maintain communications to support BOMA membership
Liaise with designers and suppliers to obtain quotes and complete MARCOM projects
Collaborate with members, internal and external partners to enhance communications
Organize story content & images for quarterly newsletters
Prepare draft press releases and communiqués as needed
DIGITAL
Gather content from all departments and prepare the annual content calendar for major marketing communication streams:
weekly e-news, quarterly newsletter, standard social posts, web/hubProvide content support (images & education stream top tips) to the social media consultant) and write and schedule posts as needed
Write and post social content in real time (at education sessions & signature events)
Create dedicated branded posts from supplied templates
Prepare and distribute the weekly e-news (following the content calendar & confirming content input from necessary departments)
Maintain Community Hub and website content
Post and organize an online library (webinars, event videos, testimonials, sponsor vids etc.)
Track and prepare quarterly reports to measure digital channel engagement (e-news, social channels, Vimeo, web platforms, resource library) using software i.e. Meltwater, Hootsuite, Google Analytics
EVENTS & EDUCATION: ON-SITE MARKETING SUPPORT
- Working from templates, create signage and collateral materials for education sessions and events
- Recap and reconciliation of events in partnership with Event Manager
- Document events visually - take photos and/or work with photographers and videographers to develop shot lists and chronicle activities
- Guide post production edits and post photos/final videos to digital channels
- Provide on-site education & event management support
- Source & order swag
SPONSORSHIP SUPPORT
- Create spreadsheets and track sponsor & corporate partner exposure
Organize sponsor recognition promotional materials (signage, tent cards, golf signs, PowerPoint etc.)
Maintain master files of sponsor logos are on the Sharedrive
Liaise with sponsors to obtain their approval on sponsor related designs
- Gather results and produce individual documents that document exposure for each individual sponsor for each event
BUDGETS: GATHER & TRACK EXPENSES
Assist in the preparation of the annual marketing budget
Maintain MARCOM budget spreadsheet, solicit estimates, process, reconcile and file all MARCOM related invoices
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate must be able to work in a professional, fast-paced environment and be willing to deal with shifting priorities.
- Strong writing skills
- Working knowledge of Adobe Suite
- Experience in B2B social media deployment
- Experience in administering web content updates & building digital platforms such as MailChimp are an asset
- Excellent interpersonal, communications skills (written & verbal) and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of business acumen including budgeting, sales reporting and financial analysis
- Highly organized with great attention to detail
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects at the same time, understand priorities and adapt to changing needs & demands
- Possess a strong drive to take initiative and be resourceful
- Day-to-day project management experience
- Good presentation delivery skills
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
