Our Toronto team is looking for a passionate Marketing Coordinator to join the team!

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for managing the marketing calendar, coordinating event, marketing programs, and participating in the development of campaigns. This role will support the Marketing Manager and VP/GM in various marketing activities.

This position will be a permanent full-time position.

Duties & Responsibilities

Trade and Brand Marketing:

  • Assist in development of trade marketing plans - to include instore marketing, print marketing, social media advertising, event marketing, training and social media campaigns targeted to retailers and consumers.
  • Assists in development and execution of brand marketing plans – to include retail marketing, product launches, demo program management, advertising, and brand campaign development.
  • Assist in developing presentation materials, and presenting at key customer meetings on key brand initiatives.
  • Assist the PR team in all initiatives, including ordering swag, vetting opportunities, and distributing press releases.
  • Work collaboratively with Retail Design and partner retailer team to ensure in store displays are in line with brand guidelines and help manage delivery and installation administration.
  • Be aware and informed on all current products available across retail channels.
  • Work collaboratively with IBD outside sales reps to manage regional marketing budgets and related orders.

Events:

  • Coordinate and help execute event activities both nationally and locally; including event setup and take down, travel coordination, hospitality.
  • Help manage Canadian demo team schedule and help with event setup, take down and management when needed.
  • Provide event recaps to key brand stakeholders.

Digital and Social Marketing:

  • Coordinate with US Marketing team on all aspects of multiple social media accounts, including community development and content creation.
  • Work with necessary brand teams and 3rd party agencies to create content (including but not limited to blog posts, newsletters, Facebook posts, Tweets, Pins, Instagram images and short format videos) which engage the brand’s audience across social channels.
  • Monitor best practices and trends in organic and branded social media, effectively communicate relevant news and opportunities to the marketing team.
  • Maintain awareness of all brand standards and guidelines and make sure they are implemented for all assets before they are deployed to digital channels.

Additional Duties:

  • Miscellaneous administrative duties to include; order management for all corporate and retailer requests
  • Assures confidentiality and discreet handling of all business.
  • Follows internal controls and company policies as set by company and job function.
  • Contributes to the success of company by leading or assisting with other projects and tasks as assigned.

Essential qualifications

  • University/College education ideally with degree in Business, Sales, or Marketing.
  • Minimum one-year experience in marketing admin role.
  • Extensive social media knowledge and abilities.
  • Highly ambitious self-starter who is familiar with social media and brand/lifestyle marketing concepts.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills – must collaborate and communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and outside contacts.
  • Knowledge of computers required including strong knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and & PowerPoint
  • Team player:  openly willing to assist other departments and or constituents when needed.
  • Must be able to multi-task effectively.

Beneficial Qualifications

  • Experience working on Mass Market / Big Box retail accounts in a sales or marketing capacity.
  • Experience working on digital & social marketing platforms or campaigns.
  • Positive and energetic attitude
  • Strong interest in running, cycling or general health and fitness

Physical Demands

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time.
