Marketing & Communications Manager full-time
Reporting directly to the CEO, the incumbent will lead the Marketing and Communications function while developing and implementing the organization’s marketing and communications strategy. The person selected will work with internal and external stakeholders to execute and measure impact. This role entails implementing innovative strategies that will impact growth and awareness, and increase the value proposition of the organization to partners, key stakeholders, and the public. The Marketing and Communications Manager will also provide direction and support to other team members.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develops an impactful association-level annual marketing communications strategy that effectively positions the organization to gather visibility, raise awareness, and drive impact, enabling organizational goals through comprehensive programs, campaigns, and events
- Directs the creation of awareness campaigns across all relevant channels based on strategic objectives, including determining which media platforms to advertise on and adapting campaigns to suit the channels used
- Accountable for financial planning and budget management
Operational Oversight:
- Tracks the success and ROI of Marketing and Communications programs through various channels, providing regular reporting to the Director
- Continuously researches and implements new tools, technology, digital trends, and strategies that enhance communication outreach, staying current with industry trends and best practices
- Develops speeches, interviews, press releases, and responses
Promotion and Outreach:
- Promotes products and services
- Travels to trade shows and conferences when required
- Crafts and sends regular newsletters with updates
- Monitors and contributes to social media groups and professional platforms
- Develops and monitors the organization’s website and social media pages, addressing members’ queries
- Networks with industry experts and potential clients
Conferences and Events:
- Contribute to conference content and provide onsite assistance
- Attend and participate in conferences to promote the organization and its programming
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Perform all tasks in a culturally responsive manner, aligned with the organization’s vision, mission, and objectives
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including public and First Nation communities, and their administrative staff
- Manage multiple deadlines and interruptions
- Work effectively and efficiently in a flexible office environment
- Possibility of occasional travel, requiring flexibility to work in various locations and schedules as necessary
- Starting in April 2026
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree specialized in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
Experience:
- 5 years of relevant experience in First Nation programming (housing, health, social or education)
- 2 years of experience in a management position
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge:
- Computer literacy within a Windows environment, including adeptness in database management, website navigation, and utilization of various social media platforms
- Proficiency in project management, data analysis and budget management
- Knowledgeable in Meta, SEO and SEM

Assets:
- French bilingual or bilingual in other First Nation languages
