Our passionate and highly experienced team of former competitive athletes and product experts is currently based in Kitchener, Waterloo and will soon be HQ in Toronto, ON.

About the Job

The Marketing & Business Development Manager creates, implements and oversees marcom programs that effectively describe and promote TritonWear and its products including management of the visual identity, website, collateral, and events. The candidate will need to combine strategic-thinking with a high degree of creativity to execute on high-impact, high-leverage, innovative materials and programs and go beyond the campaign numbers to uncover the insights for action. This candidate will work closely with sales teams to ensure a high functioning marketing funnel delivers qualified potential customers. Continuous optimization of all of these systems is a big part of the job. You will manage software systems, company contributors, and external vendors to build your marketing machine. You will work with sales, product, and customer support to achieve your goals and strongly influence company-level decisions. You will be reporting directly to the CEO working to build a powerful marketing machine from the ground up.


    • Driving the go-to-market product marketing plan
    • Rallying a group of people to execute a successful campaign
    • Growth hacking to drive customer acquisition and product sign-ups
    • Demand generation, knowing what works and what doesn’t
    • Capturing and acting upon consumer insights
    • Lead qualification & hand off to sales team
    • Messaging: Responsible for development of company messaging and positioning. Creation of a library of marketing collateral with focused messaging, consistent look-and-feel, and effective graphics
    • Web and graphic design for online marketing presence
    • SEO optimization and Google Adwords
    • Communicating through social media – Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.
    • PR: Drafting and distribution of press releases, Developing and implementing a strategy for press interviews and articles
    • Branding: Implement branding and communications projects in the areas of advertising, promotional programs, collateral, public relations, trade shows, digital and mobile communications. Developing and placing ads in journals and industry web sites
    • Conferences and Trade Shows: Identifying suitable conferences and trade shows. Managing TritonWear’s presence and participation. Generating collateral, presentations, and trade show booths
    • Product Launches: Develop positioning (including competitive positioning) for new products. Executing go-to-market activities with partners. Delivering collateral to build awareness
    • Project Coordination: Coordinates with vendors, consultants, partners, internal staff, service providers, regulatory agencies, industry associations, investors, and key customers


    • BA in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or similar degree
    • 5+ years of experience in hi-tech MarCom roles
    • Worked independently in venture-backed companies
    • Experience in leading messaging and positioning exercises
    • HTML helpful
    • Excellent writing and communication skills, with attention to detail plus an understanding of audience, medium, and value proposition
    • Obsessive about analytics, testing, and conversion optimization
    • Strong understanding of growth and demand generation best practices
    • Some experience with trade shows and similar industry events
    • Ability to work flexibly and efficiently in a fast paced environment
    • Ability to understand basic technical concepts
    • Passionate about building a successful and powerful company brand and image
    • Former sales experience a big plus
    • Passion for sports a plus - passion for swimming an extra bonus :)
