Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Associate, Teachers, supports marketing initiatives for all Royal Conservatory teacher retention and acquisition programs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develops and executes strategic marketing plans to raise the profile of Royal Conservatory teacher-related programs and events.
  • Oversees the creation and distribution of marketing content across a variety of platforms (traditional print and digital media) to raised awareness of and revenue for The Royal Conservatory’s teacher programs.
  • Works closely with internal and external creative teams to produce and implement marketing collateral in support of promotional campaigns.
  • Working with the Manager, Marketing Information and Analytics, synthesizes campaign data to provide weekly reports on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
  • Oversees the Teacher Certification marketing budget in consultation with key stakeholders (Director of Marketing, Director of Teacher Certification, Chief Marketing Officer) including proposing spend and managing spend/processing of invoices.
  • Helps to build relationships with existing and new customers and key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field.
  • 4+ years’ experience in marketing and/or communications.
  • Experience working with digital and traditional marketing channels.
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Adobe InDesign, and Photoshop.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment; professional and diplomatic.
  • Understands and knows how to communicate with music teachers.
  • Understanding of or experience in The Royal Conservatory Certificate Program is an asset.
