Marketing and Communications Officer full-time
Gambling Research Exchange Ontario (GREO) is seeking a Marketing and Communications Offer to support GREO’s business development, strategic priorities, and programming through the implementation of GREO’s marketing and communication strategy. Reporting to the CEO, and working closely with the Business Manager, this highly collaborative role is focused on growing awareness of GREO through execution of best practices in traditional and digital marketing techniques. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, a quick learner, and have a mix of graphic design and marketing skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement and evaluate effective marketing and communication strategies designed to promote GREO products and events
Maintain GREO’s visual identity and branding through consistent use and enforcement of the organization’s branding policy and guidelines
Develop guidelines to ensure the consistency of messaging by all staff as it relates to the marketing and communication strategy
Design print material to support GREO programs using Adobe Creative Suite, and work with various print vendors to ensure high-quality, timely production
Create effective web content and post in consultation with the web team
Make recommendations as to the most effective use of digital communication tools, including email and social media platforms
Provide subject-matter expertise related to marketing, communications, social media, and branding to all staff
Develop strong working relationships with key contacts for the purpose of promoting GREO’s programs and collaborative projects
Make recommendations on the schedule and design of GREO activities and events for purposes of effective and integrated promotion
Work with the Business Manager to create GREO’s annual report
Monitor the marketing and communications budget
REQUIREMENTS
3+ years of professional experience successfully implementing integrated marketing and communication plans
Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, graphic design or a related field
Demonstrated ability to build brand identity, recognition, and engagement, preferably in the non-profit sector
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Illustrator, combined with a solid understanding of visual design aesthetics and pre-press standards. (***This requirement is non-negotiable. Applicants unable to demonstrate design skills will not be considered for the role.***)
Experience with web content management systems
Advanced knowledge of current and emerging digital communications technologies
Excellent project management skills and ability to maintain strong attention to detail in the face of competing priorities
