Island Key Computer ltd ( IKC) is a VAR and Solutions Integrator for Tier 1 manufacturers with Sales and Service offices in Vancouver, Victoria and Kelowna, since 1989.
As part of our strategic growth, a new role has arisen within our organization for a Business Development and Marketing Manager. You will help to devise, develop and deliver a comprehensive strategic and tactical plan for business development, and awareness-raising for IKC. You will also help to raise the organization’s profile in BC and beyond by defining and managing a new Marketing strategy.
To coordinate these activities, IKC is looking for a strong influencer and negotiator, who is self-motivated and has a proven track record of business development, marketing and communication. You should be capable of radical thinking, developing new and innovative strategies for communicating IKC’s ethos, all the time working in a diplomatic and practical manner to ensure that IKC message is delivered in a sustainable way. The ideal candidate must be passionate and knowledgeable about IT and marketing, has strong communication, inter-personal, and negotiation skills, is a self-starter, and drives to results.
The position will be based in Vancouver, BC. and is a full time position.
Desired Skills & Experience
The Business Development and Marketing Manager would ideally have a degree in a business or marketing-related field, providing the relevant business, communication, strategic-thinking and entrepreneurial skills required for the postion as well as sufficient background or understanding of issues relating to IT and marketing, relevant to the IKC niche.
Your employment history (at least 5 years) must include a successful portfolio of successful projects within the business-development field, and a demonstrated ability to work well in an IT related business development environment.
