Northview Apartment REIT is looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual can assist in driving market growth by overseeing the creation and development of print and online advertising, ensuring the strategy resonates with current and potential residents. Located in Toronto, ON, the Leasing and Marketing Coordinator will report directly to the Regional Vice President.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing all leasing, marketing and communication products for Northview’s residential operations in the regions, in order to attract potential residents and retain existing ones;
- Creating and implementing a social media policy with the objective of maintaining a social media presence;
- Work with the Marketing team to update the residential page on the website;
- Sourcing and distributing marketing items for welcome packages;
- Ensuring adequate inventory and usage of leasing communication supplies;
- Continuously monitors marketing trends and keeps a close eye on competitive products;
- Monitor housing trends and review market rents with senior property managers, making incentive recommendations;
- Establish and conduct new leasing agent orientation and training;
- In consultation with Regional Directors and Regional Managers, maintain responsibility for on-going training, education, motivation and success of leasing staff by reviewing individual shopping reports, closing percentages, and coaching when necessary;
- Make recommendations for improving levels of customer service of the leasing agents;
- Create and implement short and longer term marketing & communication plans to assist in reducing vacancy and decreasing resident turnover;
- Direct the marketing effort to generate new business from other apartment communities and businesses;
- Assist in lease up and marketing strategies of newly constructed buildings;
- Monitor and report monthly leasing statistics;
- Other marketing, communications and sales duties as assigned and or required.
Requirements
- A degree in advertising and or marketing from a Canadian university;
- Understanding of design, copy, web and social media best practices/guidelines;
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout, and design (using InDesign or similar software), professional printing/publishing skills are essential;
- Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies in graphic design, web design, print production;
- Proven experience in creating multi-media marketing materials to generate leads, closing sales, and an understanding of the home rental market;
- Intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels;
- Previous experience in coaching others as it relates to marketing, sales, and communications;
- Possess excellent oral and written English communication skills;
- Be highly organized, and capable of meeting deadlines in a busy and high-pressure environment;
- Is a self-starter, able to work independently as well as part of a team;
- Have a professional appearance, pleasant demeanor, and positive attitude.
