POSITION: INTERMEDIATE DESIGNER

You will be an up-and-coming creative superstar with outstanding conceptual and visual skills. You will have the skills and the desire to bring brands to life online and off and in physical spaces. You have a deep curiosity and and a skill for finding big ideas. Born in the digital world, you can both design and code.
As an intermediate designer at Kaldor, you will work in partnership with our strategy and and creative teams. You will report to our Creative Director. You will work on a variety of products and activities from websites, social media, video, and digital installations to brand identities and campaigns.
Your main responsibility will be to create effective, conceptually driven, beautifully crafted design that expresses our clients’ brands and that meets their business goals, across all media and all platforms, especially digital.
•You will collaborate with the senior team on strategies to reach a particular audience. You will work as a team member, taking creative direction from the Creative Director, as well as strategic direction from the account team.
•You will create dynamic work (both on- and off-line). It will be error free, technically sound and reflecting the studio's attention to craft.
Computer skills: A proven track record in IA, UX and Wordpress is essential. Expertise in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
Creative skills: A brilliant,digitally savvy, conceptual thinker, able to create innovative, idea-based design. Purely aesthetic work doesn’t cut it.
Analytical skills: Ability to critically assess your work from the point of view of the target consumers and ensure the creative conveys the strategy’s desired message.
Communication skills: Able to communicate with the rest of the team, suppliers and clients. Your design will effectively and powerfully communicate our client's brands.
Time-management skills: Able to work on multiple projects at the same time, each with a different deadline.
Attitude: Avid learner, hard working, good person, team player.
Experience: You bring 5+ years of quality experience
A bachelor’s degree in design, digital media or a related field is required. Additional education/skills in areas such as web design, social media content, animation, photography, videography, video editing, computer science, user experience or other is an asset.
