HTML5 Animator and developer (Junior - Mid level) freelance

We are a digital production agency that specializes in display advertising. Operating in both Vancouver, BC and London, UK, servicing clients across both locations. We produce banner campaigns for some of the worlds best known brands.

We are looking for someone with experience in HTML5 who has a keen eye for detail to join our design team in Vancouver. You will need to have animation experience and provide examples (eg. Edge, Flash) to apply for this position.

Availability
Weekdays 9am -- 5pm PST

Term
3-month contract with the possibility of extending this time

Skills and experience

• Must have a degree or diploma in development/design.
• Must be able to show working examples of online development (HTML5/CSS3/javascript) work including interaction and animation, this work must also showcase your design skills.
• Must be proficient in HTML5/CSS3, Javascript, Adobe creative suite, flash (some AS2/AS3 code knowledge would be beneficial) & photoshop
• Must be able to provide an online portfolio demonstrating the above including strong development and design skills.
• Great organizational, problem solving and time management skills. Ability to meet deadlines is required.
• Prepared to learn the industry standards of online and mobile display advertising and the constraints these platforms entail.
• Understand optimisation for web/mobile

Tasks required

• Working closely with the Creative Director to maintain consistency in the quality of all styles of animation
• Technical Problem solving of difficult scenes/animations as required
• Understand and adhere to a working process that allows teams from both sides of the Atlantic to work collaboratively on projects

Hardware requirements
A laptop (ideally a Mac) that is capable of running the latest Adobe CC Suite software
