Bing Thom Architects, based in downtown Vancouver, is looking for a full-time Graphics and Marketing assistant.

This position combines many administrative and production activities related to communications, marketing and graphics. The individual will primarily assist in designing the layout of proposals, presentations, brochures and other marketing collateral, writing and editing content, and maintaining the digital image library.

The position also includes responsibility for updating content on the company website and social-networks. The incumbent must have an eye for design along with excellent knowledge of various relevant software and experience producing a variety of presentations and materials.

Duties:

  • Provide general administrative support to technical staff and marketing team. This includes preparation of spreadsheets and reports and archiving of electronic image and document files.
  • Plan and coordinate layout and production of marketing materials including brochures, proposals and presentation materials. Knowledge of print media is an asset.
  • Liaise with media and other external groups requiring graphic support.
  • Provide content management support for the company website. Ensure that content is current and consistent and assist IT in identifying any issues to ensure optimal functionality of the site.

Qualifications:

A degree or diploma in marketing, communications, and/or graphic design ideally with related professional experience.

Strong communication skills, a positive and flexible attitude, sense of humour, and willingness to pitch in as needed are essential.

Strong graphics and layout experience. In-depth knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) combined with knowledge of HTML. High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel programs.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, team environment with the ability to adapt to change and meet timelines without sacrificing quality. Must be organized, detail-oriented and have the ability to take initiative and be self-directed as required.
