The Opportunity & Job Description

Ausenco is seeking a creative Graphic Designer with experience in both print and electronic media to join our marketing team based in our Toronto or Vancouver office.

We’re looking for someone who can take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them seamlessly into images, layouts and other designs. The successful candidate should have an intimate understanding of how marketing campaigns work, especially in the engineering sector, to support our clients while adhering to Ausenco’s brand guidelines. We work in a fast-paced environment, so the ideal Graphic Designer will be able to hit the ground running as soon as we bring on a new client or project. Applicants with experience leading creative teams and designing with other professionals will be given prime consideration. This position reports to the Director of Marketing.

We are seeking a motivated and self-driven individual to:

  • Support the global marketing team across all sectors for development of marketing collaterals
  • Work simultaneously on multiple projects based on current workload
  • Create visual aspects of marketing materials, websites and other media, including infographics, social media tiles, proposal graphics and physical material.
  • Developing marketing collateral for both digital and print, including: case studies, emails, benchmark reports, advertisements, posters, brochures, PowerPoint presentations, infographics, banners, and other print and digital collateral
  • Follow brand guidelines to design material that adhere to the Ausenco brand and build brand equity

Qualifications

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

Your attributes and accomplishments will include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Digital Design, Graphic Design, Graphic Communications, Design, Marketing or related discipline
  • Proficient in a wide range of media formats and design software technologies (Google Studio, In Design, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop etc)
  • Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5 and JavaScript
  • Must have 3-5 years’ experience in similar position at a brand or creative agency
  • Experience in print layout and design including brochures, sell sheets, white papers and other corporate collateral.
  • Adaptive design eye and skill
  • Able to present concepts and be a team player to achieve the correct design solution
  • Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and clients
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
