We are excited about this offer for a new team member to join our fantastic organization as a Graphic Designer at our Vancouver Head Office for a 12 month contract.
The goal of the Graphic Designer is to deliver designs consistent with the company brand, vision and that of the Premium Chocolatier. Working in a fast paced environment the Graphic Designer must be able to work efficiently, independently and manage many projects and deadlines.
Duties, Responsibilities, & Projects will include but are not limited to:
In Shops POS materials consistent with the merchandising plans
Product packaging – year round or seasonal – designs packaging using a vector program that must be consistent with the current criteria as determined by the Merchandising Team
Catalogues and Brochures – formats according to layout provided and within the colour and style key that is determined by the Merchandising Team
Website – ability to format the ad concepts provided by Marketing using both vector and raster programs blended successfully to achieve the look determined by the Merchandising Team. This could include online advertising, social media concepts and more
Print Ads – Newspaper – Magazines – Posters – ability to format the ad concepts provided by Marketing using imaginative techniques to achieve both professional and innovative results. This work must be understood in order to aid the assignee or to provide this service.
Labels – Stickers – Nft – Barcodes – to create these items using any tools provided to the specifications taken from Production
Successful Candidates Must Have:
2 years working experience in one or more of the following: consumer goods packaging, catalogues, brand or retail collateral, social media and advertising campaigns
Ability to be a Team Player with creative input and ideas and ability to execute the ideas into a brand consistent result
Full and complete knowledge of vector and raster type files
Full and complete knowledge of colour: CMYK, RGB and Spot (matching the palette to the project type)
Full and complete knowledge of file preparation for output by a service provider (printer or internet)
Excellent communication skills as well as creativity and innovation
Experience with HTML and/or CSS
Full knowledge of the following software:
- Illustrator and/or Corel DRAW
- Photoshop
- Acrobat
- InDesign
- Flash
