You can bring a vision into life and captivate an audience through your designs.  You possess an entrepreneurial spirit and have a keen eye for detail.  The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating concepts and designing materials for a wide variety of channels and vehicles. Demonstrating a well developed creative eye and the ability to translate messaging into visual representations, the Graphic Designer will be key to maintaining the corporate brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects and successfully balance priorities
  • Develop concepts and design collateral materials including banner advertisements, landing pages and supporting material for online campaigns
  • Participate in the design & execution of print and electronic campaigns, including website graphics, email newsletters, web banners, print ads, and brochures/booklets
  • Manipulate graphic and vector images to create web and print jobs
  • Assist in development and promotion of the BuildDirect.com brand through all social media channels
  • Work closely with email coordinator to optimize and create best practices in email
  • Consistently follow and upgrade company brand guidelines

Expected Outcomes in the first year:

  • Design and code three to five emails per week
  • Produce fifteen to twenty banner ads per week
  • Thoroughly understand and reflect brand in all designs

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience with web/print graphic or email design
  • Keen eye for designing with hierarchy and a solid understanding of print design process
  • Working knowledge in the following areas (1-2 years experience):
    • HTML, CSS & Web Standards
    • Adobe Photoshop
    • Adobe Illustrator
    • Adobe Dreamweaver
    • Well developed knowledge of current and new developments in web/graphic design and publishing software
  • High levels of integrity and a commitment to do what you say you are going to do.
  • Self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Degree or Diploma in Arts, Fine Arts, Web/Graphic Design, Advertising/Public Relations with a strong emphasis on web/graphic design or web publishing
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to continuously learn and improve
  • Well-developed empathy and the ability to see and understand other perspectives
