Division or Project Summary

SNC-Lavalin Inc. Infrastructure Division maintains a busy Proposal Centre in Vancouver, designed to support the Division in preparation of proposals and qualifications, as well as marketing publications. Working with a team of proposal writers and a senior graphic artist, the Graphic Designer assists in developing high quality, professional proposals and qualification final documents for distribution to SNC-Lavalin clients and associates. The position is for approximately 12 months and will report to the Proposal Group’s Senior Graphic Designer.

Responsibilities

Participate in the design, creation, coordination and production of proposals including:
•Design proposal templates and other documents using both Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Word
•Assist in the design of proposal covers, custom tabs and packaging
•Create graphics (org charts, flow charts and diagrams) using Adobe InDesign and Illustrator
•Assist in the development of an overall proposal style
•Enhance photo quality in Adobe Photoshop for all photos used in proposal documents
•Assist in the final format of proposals documents, as well as other professional reports and presentation documents
Participate in Proposal kick-off meetings
Work with external printers and other materials’ suppliers, and keep a record of quotes for jobs placed through them
Assist with maintaining a library of fonts, generic files, project photos, logos, and other graphic resources
Assist with proof reading and final copy edit as required
Assist with the final assembly of the proposal submissions, as required
Assist with development of marketing materials, as required:
•Advertisements
•Presentations
•Newsletters
•Brochures

Requirements

1-3 years experience in graphic design/marketing coordinator role, preferably familiar with proposal response development
Advanced skills in the following software:
•Microsoft Word
•Adobe InDesign
•Adobe Photoshop
•Adobe Illustrator
•Microsoft Excel
•Microsoft PowerPoint
•Microsoft Outlook
•Microsoft Visio
•Adobe Acrobat Professional
Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and with multiple teams
SharePoint knowledge is an asset
