The Team

We are currently seeking an energetic, detailed, self-starter to join our fast paced Marketing Department.

Located in our Toronto office, this position works with the Digital Manager, Canada and Latin America to better utilize existing thought leadership (content) and the implementation of our digital strategy. This role is also responsible for the data quality of our client database. The primary responsibilities are outlined below.

The Role

Digital Marketing/Content Programs

Execute marketing and communications tactics

Find opportunities to expand the reach of our content by identifying content that should be repurposed on NortonRoseFulbright.com and our digital properties or distributed through our newsletters, legal aggregators, social media, etc.

Use our content management system and Wordpress to update our blogs/microsites

Create content for our social media accounts, such as Twitter (@NLegal_CA), LinkedIn, Facebook, Google+, etc.

Make suggestions for improvement of web content using best practices of search engine optimization

Under the direction of the digital manager, create content for search engine marketing (SEM) campaigns, work on the day to day optimization and set-up of campaigns as well as work on local search engine optimization (LSEO) listings

Optimize our submissions to legal aggregators and Wikipedia, including applying search engine optimization best practices and work with firm-wide digital/content management team to improve the quality of articles

Work on content programs including SlideShare as well as work on multimedia content production

Train professionals on using social media for business development purposes

Report on web traffic,legal aggregator performance and other content programs

Newsletter Marketing

Implement established guidelines and liaise with professionals the marketing and business development team to ensure error and conflict-free distribution of our content through our newsletter platform

Report on newsletter statistics and list management clean up (bounce backs)

Maintain a high standard of quality by checking links, apply email marketing best practices to avoid spam and maximize results

Suggest improvements for our guidelines and processes

Maintain brand standards, escalating non-compliant requests to the digital manager

Based on input from the digital manager execute a publishing calendar and coordinate annual and seasonal publishing opportunities Data Quality

Assist in the use and migration of contact data of the firm’s CRM database and assist with enforcing best practices

Manage regular data updates and identify improvements to the database

Generate reports related to CRM data and train internal stakeholders on using the software and on best practicesSkills and Experience Required

A minimum of 1-2 year(s) experience in a digital marketing/technical role, preferably in the context of a professional services organization.

A degree in business and/or marketing discipline or a diploma in Marketing, Digital New Media, Graphic Design, or Communications Technology.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills

Ability to exercise sound independent judgment while contributing and participating in a team environment.

Effective time management skills and the ability to work in and adapt to changing work environments

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

Experience with project coordination.

Experience working with website content management systems and digital marketing support tools

A hands-on professional who can implement digital marketing tactics, including previous experience working on newsletters, social media, content management, etc.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HTML, Photoshop, WordPress, Content Management Systems and Social Media programs/tools.
