Star Media Group, a leading Canadian media organization, is looking for a passionate and energetic individual to join our newly created Audience Solutions team focused on offering new, performance-based digital advertising solutions! Operating like a start-up with the resources of a larger company, the Audience Solutions team is looking for a search engine marketing and programmatic display advertising subject matter expert who thrives in a fast-paced work environment.

As the Digital Account Strategist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Support business development sales efforts focused on key account opportunities including assessing client needs, recommending solutions and building campaign/execution strategy plans
  • Act as the main point of contact for any new key account business secured from an overall service management perspective, including problem escalation
  • Work closely with internal teams to monitor key account performance and ensure client KPIs are being consistently met and exceeded; Build consolidated performance reports for clients
  • Meet regularly with assigned key account clients to keep them informed on campaign performance and optimization and make recommendations on any changes in strategy to help them meet their goals
  • Analyze campaign performance metrics and consult with internal teams to build key account success stories and opportunities; Present findings to clients with the goal of renewing business and growing spend
  • Implement and lead regular reviews of key accounts focused around customer satisfaction, service level reporting, campaign set up and execution and other opportunities for service growth and improvement
  • Use strong understanding of Audience Solutions products (SEM, programmatic, paid social media, video and email) and performance to identify best practices, build case studies and compile performance averages and communicate internally
  • Share client feedback and market insights with Audience Solutions team to inform product strategy and development, work with Product Manager to test new solutions and keep key account clients informed on new opportunities and beta tests

Who you are…

An energetic, dynamic and passionate business professional with experience in an Account Management or Client Relationship role who loves to work as part of a team. You are familiar with the latest internet based technologies and have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. You are also a self-motivated, results-oriented individual with demonstrated experience executing a business development sales plan with minimal supervision.

You should also have:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related discipline
  • 1-3+ years of experience in an Account Management or Client Relationship role
  • Experience working within an Advertising Agency or managing clients
  • 1-3+ years of experience working with SEM/Programmatic Solutions
  • A strong understanding of digital analytics and platforms including SEM platforms, Google Analytics and programmatic display
