The Softchoice Marketing Team has made great progress integrating new technologies to fuel our marketing efforts. And we’re just getting started. To realize our vision of being a world-class B2B marketer, we’re hiring a Database Marketing Leader to lead the team driving our use of CRM, marketing automation, and analytics. The primary reason this role exists is to earn sales more informed opportunities with prospects and existing clients.

Based out of our Toronto HQ, and working closely with our Sales, Marketing, and IT teams, the Database Marketing Leader is responsible for the following:

  • Marketing innovation: Through the creation of a strategic roadmap, evolve our use and application of existing platforms like CRM, marketing automation, and analytics tools.
  • Customer segmentation: Identify high-value segments and applying these insights to maximize the process of engaging prospects and existing clients alike.
  • Lead management & reporting: Provide regular reporting to the business to maximize lead conversion and gather intelligence to improve the quality of our marketing efforts. Ensure only the highest quality leads are delivered to sales, and establish processes that guarantee leads are actioned in a timely manner.
  • Data integrity and quality assurance: Increase the quality and accuracy of client data to enhance marketing engagements and also the lead hand-off process.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Loves data: Gathering, tracking, analyzing and reporting on the metrics that drive marketing is your happy place.
  • Gets marketing technology: you have intimate experience using platforms like Eloqua, Marketo, SalesFusion and also CRM platforms like Microsoft Dynamics and SalesForce.
  • Is a natural problem solver: you’re always finding news ways to improve efficiency and make life better for people.
  • Has vision: you love technology and are constantly seeking the next big thing in marketing technology.
  • Is a born people leader: you’re ready to develop a bright and capable team.

As our ideal candidate you’ll also have:

  • 3+ years in marketing operations and/or sales operations
  • 2+ years coaching, mentoring and/or leading peers or direct reports
  • A firm grasp of the modern marketing funnel. You know what MQL, SAL, and SQL mean and why they’re so critical to successful nurture campaigns
  • A proven track record using analytics to turn data into meaningful business insights
  • Experience identifying business requirements and engaging IT to translate these in executable projects
  • A high degree of comfort as an influencer, collaborator and working closely with senior leaders
  • A university degree, preferably in marketing or business administration
