We’re looking for a Senior Interaction Designer to join our team. The role demands a strong strategic and conceptual thinker who can develop ideas and effectively communicate with clients and team members alike.

You will be on our information gathering and discovery team, write creative summaries, assemble mood boards, build wireframes, design responsive websites, present work and collaborate with developers. In a nutshell, you’re there every step of the way, ensuring projects are on track and the studio is producing the best work possible. You’ll often work on very interesting and unique products. You may have to visit and stay in some of the nicest resorts in the world, but there are certainly worse things in life to ponder.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead multiple projects; oversee planning, concept development, design and implementation; assign tasks and monitor progress
  • Work closely with clients; listening to them and translating their situation, goals, and requirements into compelling visual design
  • Work alongside developers to ensure standards are being met throughout the development pipeline
  • Mentor and support team members; understanding their strengths and weaknesses; recommend promotions and growth opportunities
  • Experiment with new tools and techniques to improve our work

You:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in design and interactive
  • At least 2 years experience in a leadership role
  • Portfolio that represents a range of design styles and diversity of projects
  • Ability to translate brand characteristics, personalities, and business goals into successful design solutions
  • Know your way around Adobe Suite
  • Solid grasp of HTML, CSS, web fonts, optimization methods and responsive design
  • A fundamental understanding of usability principles for the web, awareness of the opportunities and limitations of designing for the multiscreen world
  • The ability to speak and write meaningfully about strategy and purpose of design
  • Comfortable communicating with client teams, leading discussions on design and translating needs into solutions
  • A great attitude and a lack of ego. Design prima-donnas need not apply
  • Have strong personal organization skills and attention to detail
