Account Director with Branding Agency full-time
The Account Director is passionate about brands and brand development. Uses their knowledge of brand building, multi-product category expertise and marketing skills to oversee the activities of a client account while being actively involved in client relations.They actively promote a positive and partnering relationship with the client, by building trust through repeated, timely, and effective project planning and delivery of commitments. They have in-depth knowledge and understanding of the clients’ business and industry and demonstrate their understanding by providing direction and guidance to the client and internal teams. They assist in identifying opportunities to provide clients with integrated (CRM, media, direct mail and digital) solutions.
Strategic Planning
- A thorough understanding of the Client’s business goals, objectives, plans, customers, products, channel partners, programs, business culture, competition and market performance
- A solid understanding of the clients annual and ongoing requirements for managed solutions by documenting project opportunities, project briefs and project requirements for the client
- Strength in branding and brand development frameworks and facilitation with clients.
- Bridge the understanding and connection between clients goals and objectives and the design and execution for our managed solutions
- Assist other Account Directors and Group Account Director with the development of the client’s marketing plan, project plan details and client and team communications
Account Management
- Work with the Service Area Leads to formulate a design and plan of our managed solutions
- Guide and support members of the internal delivery team on the execution of client projects by communicating and working with Client, to ensure that all project tactics are met on time & within budget
- Responsible for overall quality assurance of our managed solutions and client deliverables
- Set up meetings with clients for reviews and approvals of tactics
- Helping to maintain and grow existing client business
- Undertaking administrative tasks
Financials
- Assist with assembling of client estimates
- Accountable to overall budget and financial performance of assigned client projects
- Collaborate and communicate with service area experts to ensure projects are on time and on budget
- Keep Group Account Director informed of any project resourcing issues
Project Management
- Assist other Account Directors and/or Group Account Director with the preparation of briefing documents, project plans and initiation of new projects for the client
- Work with Account Directors and Account Supervisors to ensure regular and timely project status meetings are held with the internal team to keep campaigns on track and assist with the prioritization of tasks and resolution of any project-related issues for the client
Education, Skills and Experience
- Post-secondary Degree in Marketing/Communications
- A minimum of 5-10 years of equivalent work experience with a combination of branding, and agency experience
- Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment
- A proactive and highly organized approach with a proven ability to successfully motivate, persuade and deal with a broad range of people, from client to peers to service area leads
- The ability to work under pressure and assimilate large quantities of information quickly while paying accurate attention to detail
- Resilience and professional in terms of being able to deal with problems and constructive criticism
- An optimistic attitude and a willingness to learn
- Stays current with and possesses an awareness of how the Canadian agricultural industry is developing in light of new communication technologies both online and offline
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team skills
- Proficiency with MS Office products (Windows, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio)
