Surrey Connect is looking for a Web Communication Specialist.  This position will be focused on course development.  The successful candidate will become an integral part of our team in working with our teachers and creating meaningful, engaging online content.

Surrey Connect offers over 100 online courses.  Over the past year, the school registered over 10,000 students.  We are one of the largest Distributed Learning Schools in the Province.  Surrey Connect is a continuous entry program with paced and self-paced options including face-to-face teacher support and evening drop-in sessions.

Surrey Connect Secondary is located at the District Education Centre (DEC) and also supports cross-enrolled students across the school district.  We are committed to providing a caring, learning community that fosters respect, integrity, and personal achievement in an open and innovative environment.

This position requires knowledge and experience working with:

1. Learning Management Systems (BlackBoard 9.1 and WebCT)
2. Designing Flash/HTML 5 applications
3. Working with Learning Object repositories
4. Experience/knowledge working with data analysis (Excel), SharePoint/Web Design and PhotoShop/Dreamweaver would be an asset.
