Job Summary:

The role of the Marketing Strategist is to plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns that support the strategic goals of UFV.

Acting as the lead for integrated campaigns, the incumbent develops and manages the strategic direction of projects, while also identifying opportunities for future project work. The incumbent directs and influences stakeholders on marketing concepts, processes, various advertising strategies and marketing techniques.

Working in collaboration with the Marketing department and University partners, the incumbent provides strategic planning, creative solutions, savvy project management, and insight and expertise to execute on the vision.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, or related field from a recognized institution.
  • Three (3) years related experience leading marketing initiatives in a complex environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing concepts and best practices.
  • Excellent project management skills with the proven ability to plan, lead and coordinate projects on time and on budget.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance several projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, strong business acumen and interpersonal skills.
  • Expert knowledge of related vendors and buying.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Knowledge of post-secondary education is preferred.
