As a Senior Digital Strategist, your job is to partner with clients to relentlessly pursue the best ROI, with a focus on identifying and leveraging new trends, executing programs, and developing client relationships. An essential ingredient of your success is the ability to partner and collaborate with a number of internal and external stakeholders.

This role requires a passionate team leader with very strong creative, strategic thinking and organizational abilities. A strategic, creative and analytical thinker who can create omni channel media strategies for our clients.

In this position, you will be developing and managing digital strategies, programs and teams coupled with a solid understanding of the constantly evolving media landscapes. You are a passionate team player with very strong creative, strategic thinking and organizational abilities.



  • Develop and oversee integrated digital marketing strategies – Search, Display, Email & Social
  • Provide and lead the digital and social strategy for campaigns and programs and ensure that all objectives are being met - Analyze client goals strategically and creatively present insights and strategies as appropriate
  • Creation of strong, compelling and strategic media recommendations on how digital channels can be used to integrate the consumer journey and being able to define the role of digital
  • Experience leading and executing paid media programs on social and digital channels including Google, Facebook and Display – Identify trends and insights, to optimize spend and performance based on the insights
  • Inform the buy optimization process, ensuring that the rationale and actions are clearly aligned with digital strategy and managed with client
  • Design the measurement framework and KPIs based on clients’ desired outcome
  • Analyze campaigns, recommend solutions and translate into plans as well as actions for ongoing campaign improvement
  • Understand North’s digital and social media reporting tools; ability to independently manage or guide account teams in creating digital reports for existing clients
  • Work with creative team to inform direction based on data and insights
  • Provide insights on emerging media and new, digital opportunities
  • Demonstrate a superior understanding of the Canadian digital and social landscape and update broader team on emerging trends in the industry
  • Participate in client presentations and support new business pitches specific to digital, social strategies, research, campaign analysis, etc.
  • Be a preferred point of contact and demonstrate the ability to work effectively with numerous platform partners and vendor relationships
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other agency partners
  • Exercise financial and organizational discipline: help manage budgets to ensure agency profitability
  • Seek out organic business opportunities by providing recommendations for future campaigns within campaign reports, based on platform/industry news or seasonal opportunities
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and capability to market. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate

Our ideal candidate will also possess the following:

  • 7+ years of experience in a digital agency
  • Digital and Social media buying expertise
  • Proven digital and social media expertise an absolute must coupled with holistic media planning capabilities
  • Skilled at analyzing data, deriving insights and building creative output to meet client objectives
  • Genuine curiosity about how technology and innovation affects how we communicate and evolves social behaviors
  • Bachelor’s & post-graduate degree in Digital Marketing or a related field
