You have a passion for social media. You are determined to stay current with the latest trends and your goal is to create positive, meaningful and engaging customer experiences through BC Ferries social media channels. Your goal is to promote content, build social following and support business initiatives.

As the Social Media Lead, you are responsible for the overall execution of the Company’s presence in social networking sites, including managing content, monitoring channel activity, evaluating analytics and coordinating the implementation of defined strategies. You work within the marketing department, but collaborate closely with Customer Care, Operations Security Centre and Public Affairs to support the operations and business strategies. Additionally, you strive to be leading edge with social media best practices, social media tools and emerging platforms with the ability to work both strategically and tactically.

You are customer-focused and results-oriented. You have an extensive understanding of the social media universe, trends, channel use and its business application. You have a high degree of interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills combined with strong business acumen.

You have a University degree in business or an equivalent with a focus on marketing and/or communications. You have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in social/digital marketing with a solid track record of success in implementing marketing and communications strategies, mobile, online media, social media and SEO and SEM campaigns. You have strong experience with social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Google+, LinkedIn, Pinterest etc. You also have experience leveraging social media management, analytics and measurement tools, including Hootsuite, Adobe Social, Facebook Insights and Twitter Analytics.
