Social Media Specialist contract
The Corporation of Delta has a temporary full-time position from June - December 2011.
Under the direction of the Corporate Communications Advisor, the Social Media (on-line) Specialist will collaborate with the Chief Administrative Office, Mayor's Office and senior staff in the confidential analysis, strategic planning, design, development and expansion of Delta's social media services including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube sites.
You will have a diploma or degree in English, Communications, Public Relations or a related discipline combined with courses in Internet technology. Together with sound related experience of online social medial vehicles (Facebook, Twitter, Hootsuite, Flickr, YouTube, etc.), you will have superior written communications skills in website presentation. You must be a strategic thinker capable of incorporating leading edge social medial web practices that connect local government with the community.
