Social Media Marketing Manager

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Employee Support Solutions Marketing. the Social Media Marketing Manager will work with key stakeholders to develop and execute on a comprehensive social media strategy. He/she will develop social media programs that increase visibility, drive traffic and create user engagement with our products and services.  The Social Media Marketing Manager will coordinate execution efforts to produce engaging content, brand recognition, conversions and ultimately revenues. The role will also include development and execution of Internet marketing campaigns and partnerships in the online environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute on social media strategies for promotional campaigns, product launches and marketing/sales activities with a focus on growing our brand, market positioning, usage of services and revenues.

  • Creation and maintenance of social media content calendar.

  • Strategize with and educate the management team and other key stakeholders in integrating relevant social media techniques into products and services.

  • Management of Shepellfgi’s presence on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and other social media as appropriate.

  • Day-to-day monitoring and management of blogs, maintaining a blog calendar and working with teams of writers (clinical, internal and/or freelancers). This may include moderating blogs and responding to questions and comments from community members.

  • Participate in writing and editing engaging blog posts, white papers and newsletters.

  • Plan, manager and participate in online forum activities.

  • Utilize reporting tools such as Google Analytics, internal data to deliver periodic analytics reports to peer and interest groups and identify opportunities for target audiences and topics.

  • Measure and report on the impact of social media activities against objectives.

  • Take into consideration general business strategy, digital vision, industry issues, client and end-user issues, products and services offered, and competitors in the marketplace.

  • Strongly advocates social media and integration of social media in marketing activities.

  • Staying current with new ways to leverage social media activities.

  • Develop, grow and engage a community.

  • Lead nurturing campaigns and activities.

  • Find and develop partnerships with industry influencers in the online environment.

Succeeding as a Social Media Marketing Manager will require the following core qualifications and skills:

  • BA/BS/B Comm. Degree in Marketing, Communication or related field

  • Bilingualism (En/Fr) a strong asset

  • A passion for social media with at least 3 years’ experience in a relevant role in social media

  • Strong grasp of the most popular social media platforms

  • Ability to collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization and across all levels

  • Excellent writing and editing skills

  • Solid judgment and decision making skills

  • Experience in Web Project Management and Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

  • Ability to source and summarize applicable data

  • Proficient skills in Word, PPT, Excel, HTML, Wordpress and HootSuite

  • Initiative/prospecting ability to uncover and develop partnerships
