What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a part-time social media coordinator to join our team! The social media coordinator is responsible for collaborating with other team members at the agency to help execute successful social media and PR campaigns for our roster of clients in food and lifestyle. They will be reporting to the social media manager and duties include overseeing social media schedules, creative content creation and analyzing KPI data for reporting. The successful candidate is well-versed in current and emerging social media trends and platforms, has a passion for content creation, and has the ability to build and nurture multiple online communities using brand-consistent voices.
Role & Responsibilities
Assist with execution of social media strategies for clients
Community management over multiple social platforms (daily engagement and customer service for several brands)
Replying to social mentions using brand-consistent voices across multiple channels
Visiting clients onsite to capture behind-the-scenes and of-the-moment content for client accounts (Instagram Reels and Stories)
Assist with paid social media campaigns and results analysis
Support with monthly reporting
Participating in team strategy development meetings for clients
Qualifications
Working knowledge of popular social media platforms (Instagram and Facebook knowledge are a must)
Strong written communication skills
Basic design skills to create social graphics and Instagram Stories for clients
Ability to manage a wide variety of time-sensitive tasks
Some previous experience in a digital/social media marketing role
Great to haves
Photography and video skills
Post-secondary education in communications or marketing
Social media experience working with restaurant brands
Compensation
The role is a part-time contract to start (10 hours/week) at $22-25/hour (dependent on experience) with the possibility of the hours increasing and even transitioning into a full-time position. The candidate must be able to work on-site in the SMC office in East Vancouver, as well as on location at client establishments.
