Who you are:
In your role as a Product Marketing Manager you will understand our competition, and have a deep understanding of the needs of our customers and channel partners. You will be able to translate that knowledge and insight into brand and demand-build programs that deliver results. You have the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into saleable benefits and are able to work collaboratively and cross-functionally.
What you’ll do:
As CIRA’s Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of all outbound marketing and communications activities for the company’s products. Working in collaboration with Product Management, you will craft product positioning and messaging frameworks, create supporting advertising (traditional/digital/content), promotional strategies and communications tactics that build our brands and drive demand for new and existing products and services. Specifically you will be responsible for the following:
Develop marketing and communications plans that launch new products and support business development activities of existing products.
Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products to our channel partners and end users.
Lead the development of advertising, promotional and communications strategies and tactics by working with external and internal resources.
Management of project plans and budgets associated with creative and innovative brand/demand-build plans that deliver results cost effectively.
Enable our Business Development team and sales channels with effective sales material and tools that will assist in their sales processes.
Management of assigned budgets. Management and mentoring of staff.
Other related duties as required by the Director, Marketing & Communications.
What you bring:
10+ years of progressive product marketing and/or advertising agency experience with at least 3 – 5 years’ experience working with technology-based products.
Post-Secondary degree from an accredited Business/Marketing program.
Significant experience in Marketing & Communications planning and execution; developing supporting strategies and tactics for business development teams as well as channel partners.
Significant experience in all aspects of advertising (traditional/digital), content marketing, promotional strategies and communications tactics that build our brands and drive demand for B2B and B2C applications.
A self-starter who takes pride in being a top performer. High degree of client focus with the ability to proactively bring the customers voice into the organization as a foundation for product development priorities.
A team player possessing excellent people management skills that can lead and motivate in a multi-stakeholder environment through a high degree of collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Strong planning and project management skills.
Very strong written and oral communication skills.
Engineering background would be an asset.
Experience within a public policy environment and member driven organizations is an asset.
Proficiency in English is essential; bilingualism is highly desirable.
Required to occasionally travel domestically and internationally.
